Peter McIntyre

Peter McIntyre (1910-1995) was a very popular New Zealand painter. McIntyre was New Zealand's official artist during World War II. His 1968 book "The Painted Years" was a publishing sensation, selling many thousands of copies and remained in print for twenty years. Peter McIntyre's work was widely reproduced in other books during the 1970s and 1980s. In recent years there has been just one print available of one of Peter McIntyre's paintings, a lovely picture of Wellington harbour which was published in a limited edition of just 100 copies (which have now all sold out - May 2018). We would dearly love to stock prints of McIntyre's paintings and look forward to more prints being available of his work in the not too distant future.
