The first print series of the very popular Auckland paintings by Steven Sacatos have just arrived at New Zealand Fine Prints. Steven Sacatos (1964- ) was born in Canada and moved to New Zealand in 1970. Sacatos was accepted into the School of Fine Arts at Auckland University in 1984. After failing to complete the first year of the degree - he decided to become an artist! Steven lived on Waiheke Island, then travelled to Crete - Sacatos says "the whole time generally doing the Starving Artist thing". In 2006 Steven Sacatos returned to New Zealand and has been painting full-time concentrating on painting contemporary views of Auckland.
