William Gibb

William Menzies Gibb (1859-1931), son of John Gibb, was a Canterbury painter who specialised in pastoral scenes.Better known by the Scottish version of his name as "Mingies" Gibb, W M Gibb studied in Melbourne before returning to New Zealand as a professional artist. He also painted competent portraits, and his work was exhibited in New Zealand, Australia and England.
