A - Z Wall Poster
Poster size in millimetres (approx): 595 x 840This comprehensive poster includes over 50 native species from the plant and animal kingdoms lovingly illustrated in a classic A - Z format. Species are arranged alphabetically by their names in te reo Māori, English or Latin to complete the alphabet used to communicate these languages in their written form. Ideal for classroom use, but also a great gift for grandchildren who you would like to learn about New Zealand plants with a decorative and educative poster. This is an excellent example of natural history illustration: many entries deliberately include associated organisms (such as insects, fruits, flowers, edible structures, or ecological relationships) rather than depicting only the tree itself. For example, the Pūriri entry includes the Pūriri moth, and the Ureure/Tāwhara entry illustrates the relationship between the kiekie plant and the Polynesian rat. The low resolution catalogue image is not as crisp as the very easy to read black and white poster is in real life. Species on Rākau, Trees, A–Z are:
