Painted in 1946 as a response to a contest to complete a painting of the temptation of St Anthony - a medieval legend where St Anthony was tempted by seductive women and demons in the Egyptian desert. The winning painting was to be included in a film - Dali didn’t win the competition but his entry has become the most famous depiction of the temptation of St Anthony. This is a good quality wall poster printed in the USA, fine to pin on the wall in classic wall poster style but can be framed in either a readymade frame or custom framed in a high quality boxframe.
