Ernest Mervyn Taylor (1906 - 1964) - known as E. Mervyn Taylor - was an important NZ printmaker. Working mainly in woodblock he produced 200 editions - many used as illustrations in the School Journal. He is reputedly the first NZ artist to ever hold a solo exhibition in New York when his prints were exhibited at the American Museum of Natural History in 1954. Latest News: We had a superb range of very high quality modern prints of Taylor's work in stock but the publisher has withdrawn them from sale and all stock on hand has now sold out.
