Alec Tayler

Alec grew up in Whangarei, where he developed a life-long love of the coast, surfing and beautiful scenery. He moved to Auckland to further his education and now lives there with his family. Tayler has always had a passion for the arts, craft and design but has only recently made the move to being a fulltime landscape artist. "The idea of being a full-time artist has been a long time coming, and working on the South Island series is a realisation of that dream". Self-taught, his "South Island Series", is the result of a working trip to the South Island in early 2012. Just 5 works have been completed so far but Alec has plans for many more in the series.
