A new addition to our food and drink collection, this print is of milk bottles in the wire carrier we used to “put out the milk bottles” back in the days of home milk delivery in NZ. Of course these milk bottles are not the ones made of glass but the sweet that could be bought from your local dairy as part of a fifty cent mixture. In “Milk Bottles” Glenn Jones is not at the well-trodden nostalgic end of the kiwiana art spectrum, he is creating a new kiwiana image rather than recycling what has been done before as wall art. This is a great print for modern kiwi homes that want to reference kiwiana without going for re-treaded historical “kiwiana icons”
