Sharing a den with a wolf, a mythic event in the life of St Francis of Assisi as imagined by renown NZ painter Michael Smither. Michael was fascinated by the similarities between human and wolverine feet! “I researched in the Whitianga Library for the footprints of a wolf, the perspective visually is from the earth”.
