This print features the superb NZ designed and build art deco building “Santa Barbara” that still stands in Victoria St, Christchurch. The curves of the building are echoed in the shape of the Morris minor car. There is also a reference that tells you that this painting was completed post-earthquake - note the orange road cone which is a symbol of post quake life here in the South Island’s largest city.
