Indigenous Preservation II - Tahi by Jane Crisp
Native Bird Print (Small)Image size in millimetres: 260 x 260mm
Small print of a painting by NZ artist Jane Crisp. She says that in order to amplify the compassion and warmth of a creature such as the fantail that “live in the moment” she “verges into portraiture, placing Tui and Piwakawaka [Fantails] onto pedestals”. Crisp is drawing our attention toward the fragile existence of the living creatures around us.
