Tongaporutu is a small settlement on the Taranaki Coast. The river mouth in the background is where the Tongaporutu River meets the Tasman Sea. The reclining figure in the deckchair on the front lawn of the bach first appeared in Ogle's "Free..." series in the early 2000s - he's the very embodiment of a relaxed time out in the sun after time in the water.
