On one level this is a print of a lighthouse, possibly the lighthouse at Cape Reinga at the tip of NZ’s North Island. However it also saying something about New Zealand, we are located geographically at “the edge of the world”, but are we still so isolated? This new artwork is one of the new series of “Islands” prints from contemporary NZ painter Barry Ross Smith.
