Napier’s Art Deco icon, the Masonic Hotel on the corner of Tennyson St and Marine Parade. In this print by NZ digital printmakers Rosie Louise and Terry Moyle the hotel is pictured a five years after opening. Built in 1932 following the destruction of the previous hotel in the 1931 earthquake the Masonic hotel was designed by Welling architect W J Prowse. Rosie and Terry have created a series of retro (they call the style “neo deco”) prints of NZ scenes, all prints are available in handnumbered editions of just 50 prints.
