Two colour screenprint on archival Fabriano paper. Brad was one of only five leading contemporary NZ artists chosen by the official FIFA art licensee for the World Cup 2010 to create artwork for the soccer world cup. This intriguing artwork is based on the Snellen eye charts that doctors and optometrists (and driver’s license assessors!) use to measure eye sight. But in an interesting twist Brad has utilised pictures from his own oeuvre. The icons are from the much loved game of football (Brad played soccer for 25 years), Aotearoa/Kiwiana and South Africa (the hosts of the Football World Cup in 2010).
