Courtship by GP Nerli

Print of a painting by Italian born but New Zealand resident painter GP Nerli.  A breath of fresh air in the staid ninetenth century world of New Zealand art Nerli brought the first inklings of modern art to what would become a very influential generation of painters, especially Frances Hodgkins whom Nerli taught during his time working as a painter and art teacher in Dunedin. The prints we have for sale are the very last prints from a print run published back in the day by the Capper Press. These are still in great condition having been stored in their original packaging since publication, flat on the shelf and out of any light.  However we have just a few left now, prints remaining to buy of Courtship by Nerli today - 12 - once this print run has sold out it is highly unlikely that prints of this painting will ever be made again.
