Print of the Kawaroa reef that lies close to New Plymouth. One of the well known Barry Lett Multiples (a set of screenprints issued in 1968 by Barry Lett Galleries of Auckland) was Smither’s print “Wave invading Rock Pool”. Kawaroa is a follow up to this print made 30 years later adding says Smither “a blending of the sea & sky, a development made after roughly 30 years contemplation”
