Franz Josef glacier is one of two West Coast glaciers that descend into temperate rainforest. The glacier is part of Te Wahipounamu, a World Heritage Site park and lies within the broader Westland Tai Poutini National Park. Photographed by South Westland's critically acclaimed NZ wilderness photographer Andris Apse.
