The seventh design from Menzies classic Maori Patterns Painted and Carved published in 1904. Kowhaiwhai are a distinctively Maori art design, these scrolling patterns decorated the meeting house ridgepole (tahu or tahuhu) and rafters (heke). NZ Fine Prints have re-printed the original plates from Menzies classic collection onto beautiful watercolour paper, the designs are the same size as the original prints with a white border around the image.
