Jeffrey Harris


NZ painter Jeffrey Harris (1949- ) was born in Akaroa but while living in Dunedin as a young man began to experiment with painting. Largely self-taught, he absorbed ideas from a variety of media and incorporates many symbols in his paintings. Harris moved to Australia in 1986 but has recently returned to paint in New Zealand. Harris had a retrospective exhibition at the Christchurch Art Gallery in the early 2000s.
