Joan Clark
Joan Clark was born in Picton, New Zealand. She has sketched and painted all her life. Clark lived in Gisborne for 20 years and owned the “Black Truffle Art Gallery”, and continues to exhibit widely throughout New Zealand. She holds weekend tutorials and art extension classes for children. Together with her husband and two children she moved back to Marlborough at the beginning of the decade. She says “although watercolours are the centre of my work, acrylics are bright and fun and give me the freedom to paint much larger works.” Her sunflowers print is just about sold out now.
