Valerie Beale
Valerie Beale is an artist of the Pacific living in Tauranga, New Zealand. Beale paints what she calls "ordinary people, women, the matriarchs of the Pacific expressing their gentle dignity and serenity." Valerie's prints are inspired by her extended Samoan family and many visits to the Islands. Beale says her goal as a painter is to "create in the viewer an emotional attachment to my subjects". Beale's first series of four prints were very successful with two editions sold out completely and just a handful of Warm Breeze and Friendly Disagreement left in stock [now down to just 3 and 2 copies of each of these prints - please order promptly to avoid disappointment].
We are delighted to now stock the just released new series of Pacific art prints from Valerie - all of these new editions are handsigned by the artist. We were also charmed to learn recently that Valerie has her own fale at her home near Tauranga "to sit in and every day it is a Tropical inspiration".
