Print of the 1851 hand coloured lithograph “Notornis Mantelli”, the then scientifc name for the native NZ Takahe bird. One of the first prints to be re-published by Wellington’s “Thorndon Fine Prints” about 20 years ago, we are clearing the very last of these offset prints to make way for a modern giclee re-print (which will be $69.95) from another publisher. This image is printed on a lighter weight paper stock than Thorndon Fine Prints later editions but is still suitable for framing.
